Eliška Astlová

Eliška Astlová (b. 2000, Prague, Czech Republic) was born into a family of healthcare professionals and grew up in the Invalidovna district, where forests, waterways, and industrial heritage coexist. Her practice is shaped by the relationship between natural landscapes, river systems, urban environments, and human perception.

She holds an MFA in Painting from the Faculty of Design and Art Ladislav Sutnar, University of West Bohemia. With additional training in graphic design, stage design, and fashion design, she develops an interdisciplinary practice that combines painting with textiles, found objects, and mixed media. During the Erasmus+ Exchange Programme at L’Escola d’Art i Disseny de Sant Cugat (Barcelona), she expanded her research into spatial narratives, material translation, and cultural mobility.

Drawing upon biological sciences, cultural anthropology, and hydrology, her recent work investigates plant life, ecological systems, local memory, and the dialogue between scientific observation and poetic narrative.

What is the true color of the world?

How we see the world is it reality?
